When Madeleine first dipped her toe into theatre at age 13, she wasn’t sure if she would be cut out for it. Turns out that was a silly thing to think, and she has spent the ensuing two decades proving herself wrong.
In 2010, she began working crew positions at Dallas institutions like Theatre Three, Kitchen Dog, and Second Thought. In 2011, she discovered a visceral love of stage management, and later began puppeteering with Geppetto’s Theater. On completing undergrad in 2013, she set her sights on a more robust performance career.
While she now considers herself an actor first, Madeleine retains her love of production work, stage managing whenever possible. She is also highly passionate about good localization: she has adapted over 300 television and film scripts, both animated and live action, from Japanese to English over the course of her career. (She is at present regrettably monolingual, しかし、毎日勉強しています。) She is particularly proud of her work on Mushoku Tensei, Murai in Love, Beastars, and Tengoku Daimakyou.
As an actor, she has worked regularly with Pocket Sandwich Theater, Proper Hijinx, Pegasus Theatre, Imprint Theatreworks, and Theatre Britain. Her lively career in voice over boasts over 150 credits for English-dubbed anime projects like Attack on Titan and One Piece, and video games like Borderlands 3. Favorites include Mushoku Tensei, Kaguya-sama, Trigun Stampede, and Zenshu.
